MEET MAGGIE AND BLANCHE
Maggie Kohne was born in the land Down Under - Australia. As her father was military, the family traveled extensively around the world where Maggie gained a deep appreciation for working with people of different cultures and backgrounds. It was her father's assignment to the Australian Embassy in Washington, DC that first brought her to the US. After college, Maggie's career included interesting and challenging jobs from the Australian Embassy to Head of Procurement for a Fortune 500 retail company branch. Maggie has truly felt fulfilled working with clients to match them with just the right speakers, celebrities and entertainers for their events both domestically and internationally. Maggie and her husband have a son and two daughters. She is a member of Beta Sigma Phi.
Blanche Powell was born and raised in North Carolina. She was taught early the values of hard work and hospitality. Blanche obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from East Carolina University. Following college, she and her high school sweetheart were married and began an Air Force career that took them from North Dakota to Texas and California to Virginia. During that time, Blanche pursued her varied career interests in teaching, music and business as well as singing in community groups, choirs, and working on various committees. Since 1996, the Powells have called Northern Virginia home, where Blanche has followed her passion for customer service with the speakers' bureau industry since 1997. Today, Blanche continues her work with clients across the United States and beyond, helping them find the best speakers, celebrities and entertainers for their events, large and small. Building relationships is what Blanche is all about! Blanche has a daughter living and working in Northern Virginia and a son who spent 4 years in the Marines (3 tours in Iraq) and now is a full-time student with a wife and baby.
